Satellite Meeting of the IX Congress of the Brazilian Society of Environmental Mutagenesis, Carcinogenesis e Teratogenesis - SBMCTA

Objective: Discuss and propose a framework for strategies to define Brazilian environmental criteria for chemicals aiming the protection of human health and the ecosystem. Expected Results: Our objective is that this meeting will launch a multi-agency project with a permanent working group to propose standardized protocols for the derivation of environmental criteria for Latin America.

Around 40 Brazilian specialists from universities, government agencies and industry were invited. The organizers will open the opportunity for the participation of 20 people. They will be selected based on CV and experience in the field. The registration fee will be R$ 3000 for non SBMCTA member and R$ 2000 for SBMCTA members. Applications will be received by email with a CV attached until 15th of September of 2009. The applicants will be notified by September, 30th of 2009.
